One word lets you go a size bigger

Because a single word uses so little transom width, you can usually order it one or two sizes taller than a two-word name on the same boat. That is the cheapest way to make a name look imposing - height reads from far further away than letter count does.

Watch the letter count, not the word count

Price is per character, so Serendipity at eleven letters costs more than Sea Wolf at seven, despite being one word. If budget matters more than length, look at the six and seven letter names in the list above.
